About Riverhead Raceway
Riverhead Raceway is one of the oldest stock car race tracks in the country, having been built in 1949. It is a one-quartermile asphalt, high-banked oval which includes a Figure 8 course.
Thee raceway is located one mile east of the last exit on the Long Island Expressway (LIE) at exit 73. This is where the north and south forks of Long Island begin, making the raceway just minutes from the Hampton resort area on the south fork and the wine country on the north fork.
Riverhead Raceway is part of the NASCAR Winston Racing Series circuit and has been for most of its existence. It is the only NASCAR stock car track in the New York metropolitan area. It has five to six racing divisions every Saturday night with an average car count of 150 cars in the pits. Competition is fast and furious. Riverhead also features many special shows such as the Demolition Derby, Enduros and the NASCAR Featherlite Modified Tour.

From the Long Island Expressway
From any point on the LIE (Long Island Expressway) - Take the LIE (495) eastbound to Exit 73 (last exit!) Continue eastbound on County Road 58. Riverhead Raceway is on the right hand side approximately 1/2 mile beyond the last exit just past Tanger II.
From the South Fork of Long Island
From the South Fork of Long Island - take Sunrise Highway westbound to Route 24 North (also referred to as Flanders Road) towards Riverhead - continue to the Route 105 North (right) - After crossing the Peconic River make a left at first light. You will be westbound on Route 25. Once in Riverhead there will be a split for Route 25. CONTINUE STRAIGHT! (do not follow the turn for Route 25) Once you go through the Route 58 traffic circle remain westbound on Route 58. The track will be approximately 2-3 miles on your left.
From the North Fork of Long Island
Head Westbound on Route 25 (also referred to as Main Road and County Road). Once in Riverhead there will be a split for Route 25. CONTINUE STRAIGHT! (do not follow the turn for Route 25) Once you go through the Route 58 traffic circle remain westbound on Route 58. The track will be approximately 2-3 miles on your left.
