Fullsize Sprint Car Racing Returns To New Hampshire At The Pines Speedway Pines Speedway
On April 29,2002 The Pines Speedway and The New England Sprint Car Tour signed an agreement that not only makes The Pines Speedway the sprints home track, but will return the thunder of full size sprint car racing to New Hampshire once again. Not since 1996 has there been any organized or regular form of sprint car racing in the granite state, but now the winged powerhouses have a home, a solid organization, and a respectable leader.
New England Sprint Car Tour president Nick Berry has done an outstanding job in reviving the once thought deceased sprint car division. Teaming with race directors Dave M. O'Brien and Kathy Ambrose of The Pines Speedway, Nick Berry and The New England Sprint Car Tour have signed a 2 year agreement that will kick off the sprints season at The Pines Speedway on May 25,2002.
"I can't say enough about Mr. Berry, his insight and pure determination have led to a spectacular racing organization that is sure to become a must see show for any New England race fan," says Dave O'Brien of The Pines Speedway. The sprint car season is scheduled for a 9 race stint at The Pines Speedway, but talks are already underway to increase the number of shows for The New England Sprint Car Tour starting around the July 4th weekend.
Make sure to mark your calenders to be at The Pines Speedway to see the return of sprint car racing by The New England Sprint Car Tour on May 25th. All gates open at 3pm with racing starting at 6pm. For further information please contact The Pines Speedway at 603-279-9959
