Ohio Sprint Speedweek Pre-registration Deadline Extended to June 15

CAMARGO, IL (6-4-07) The O'Reilly All Star Circuit of Champions, along with the Ohio Sprint Speedweek promoters, have extended the pre-registration deadline once again in order to give drivers and teams from across the country the opportunity to participate in the week-long event. Calls and e-mails requesting information are still coming in from teams who only recently found out that they needed to be pre-registered to be eligible for the $15,000 point fund and the $50,000 bonus. Drivers need not be All Star members to participate in these events and be eligible for the point fund and bonus money.

So far, 41 drivers have pre-registered from 10 different states and as far away as Australia. The 25th Annual UNOH Ohio Sprint Speedweek presented by RacingJunk.com is one of the longest running sprint speedweek events in the country. Established in 1983 as an American tradition, this is the Silver Anniversary of the event boasting a quarter century of great racing, high car counts, and large crowds.

The deadline has been extended to June 15th to allow teams who have not yet been able to secure their plans for attending the event to take a few extra weeks to do so. This year an extra $5000 has been added to the point fund to be distributed amongst the Top 10 in points at the week's $10,000 to win finale at Eldora Speedway. If any pre-registered driver should win any 4 of the 7 events, a $50,000 bonus will be paid, making it a very profitable week for that individual.
