(Stafford Springs, CT)---With a record setting amount of over $32,000 in
total posted contingency awards during the 2005 season at Stafford Motor
Speedway, the track’s contingency program has now yielded over $150,000 in
bonus money to competitors since the program’s inception in 1999. During
the 2005 season, Stafford Motor Speedway had $1,400 in total posted
contingency awards available to SMS competitors every Friday night.
“Our contingency program is something that we’re very proud of here at
Stafford,” said SMS CEO/GM Mark Arute. “We certainly owe a great deal to
all of our contingency partners both from the 2005 season as well as seasons
past for their generous contributions to our competitors. We’re very
fortunate to have companies like CARQUEST, Dillon Ford, and New England
Racing Fuel that have been contingency partners for all six seasons of the
program’s existence, and I’d like to thank each and every one of our current
contingency program partners for their role in helping to make 2005 the
biggest and best season we’ve ever had with our contingency program. Our
contingency program reached a record high this past season.”
Stafford Motor Speedway began its contingency program during the 1999 season
as a way to reward the top-3 finishers from its feature events. That
inaugural contingency program payout has now grown to over $32,000, nearly
doubling the initial amount of the program. Stafford Motor Speedway’s 2005
contingency partners included Atlantic Coast Trailer Sales, CARQUEST Auto
Parts, The Davidson Company, Dillon Ford, Driscoll Motorsports Photography,
Mystic Pizza, New England Racing Fuel, and Tech-Air of Connecticut.
Additional special event contingencies were provided by American Sleeve
Bearing, Reliable Welding and Speed, and the family and friends of Shawn
McMechen.
“We’re committed to continuing the growth and success of our contingency
program even further for the 2006 season and beyond,” said Arute. “We’re
always looking to solicit new sponsors, and if a business is thinking about
getting involved in NASCAR Racing, our contingency program is a good way to
support local NASCAR Racing and advertise your business at the same time.”
With companies like CARQUEST Auto Parts, Dillon Ford, and New England Racing
Fuel being involved with the contingency program each year of its existence,
combined with the fact that the contingency program has grown larger each
year since its inception, the program has proven to be a viable advertising
tool and it can do the same for your business. For more information about
