CLIFF NELSON MOTORSPORTS EXPANDS SK MODIFIED® SPONSORSHIP FOR 2006 SEASON AT STAFFORD MOTOR SPEEDWAY : Raceway Media

(Stafford Springs, CT)---Cliff Nelson Motorsports has been a longtime
supporter of SK Modified® racing at Stafford, sponsoring both cars and the
track’s contingency program, and Cliff Nelson Motorsports will be expanding
their SK Modified® sponsorship to the #18 driven by Jeff Baral as well as
the #6 driven by Chris Osella for the 2006 season.
“I’ve been at Stafford since 1984, and I want to continue to support racing
at Stafford,” said Cliff Nelson. “I like to be able to help guys keep
coming back to the racetrack. I’ve been watching Chris [Osella], they have
a good team, and sometimes all it takes is a little extra money to get a
team over the hump. The SK Modified® cars are so equal at Stafford, there’s
probably around 10 or 12 guys that can win on any night, and hopefully I can
help Chris and his team be one of those cars in 2006.”
Chris Osella earned the 2005 SK Modified® Most Improved Driver Award with a
career best finish of 17th place in the points standings after competing in
18 of 21 feature events. Osella’s best finish of the season was a fifth
place showing on June 17th, and he also had three other top-10 finishes
during the 2005 season. Bill Gaston, Osella’s car owner, says that Cliff
Nelson Motorsports’ sponsorship provides a great deal of assistance to his
team.
“It’s a big boost for sure for the team having Cliff sponsor us,” said
Gaston. “We’re still not sure if our sponsors from last season will be
coming back yet, and every little bit helps out. Quite frankly, I was
surprised to hear from Cliff, between sponsoring Jeff [Baral] and now our
car, Cliff has got a lot on his plate for 2006. But we’re looking forward
to having Cliff’s support and hopefully we can have a great relationship
with Cliff and we hope Cliff will have a lot of fun racing with us in 2006.”

of Jeff Baral and the #6 of Chris Osella, other sponsors associated with

Cliff Nelson Motorsports reached victory lane a total of four times at
Stafford Motor Speedway during the 2005 season with Jeff Baral claiming two
SK Modified® feature wins, and John Hurley taking down two DARE Stock
feature wins.

associated with Cliff Nelson Motorsports,” said Nelson.
The Cliff Nelson Motorsports sponsored cars will take to the track for the
first time on April 28-30, 2006 for the 35th Annual Tech-Net Spring Sizzler.
Tickets for the “Greatest Race in the History of Spring” are on sale now at
the Speedway Box Office. Tickets are priced at $35.00 for adult general
admission tickets, $5.00 for children ages 6-14, and children ages 5 and
under are admitted free of charge when accompanied by an adult. Reserved
seating is priced at $38.00 for all ages. As always, Stafford Motor
Speedway offers free parking with overnight parking available.
