Riverside Speedway in Groveton, New Hampshire has just released the name of their new General Manager for the 2005 racing season.

Track owner, CJ Robinson interviewed several qualified candidates over the past few weeks, and has chosen Dick Therrien to take over the General Managers position recently vacated by Marvin Galarneau, effective immediately. Therrien will bring a vast knowledge of auto racing, marketing and people skills to Riverside Speedway.

"I am looking forward to the challenge of taking Riverside Speedway to the next level. Marvin did a lot of great things for Riverside, and I hope to continue the pattern. We are going to be undergoing a tremendous amount of changes at the track, and it is going to take a real team effort between management, racers and employees to get the job done. Our goal is to increase competitors and fan count by creative marketing which will benefit everyone in the long run." Therrien also stated that he is looking forward to going back to Riverside where he started his racing career many years ago as an announcer.

Robinson stated that he feels very lucky to have been able to secure Therrien. Dick is very respected in the racing community, and he will bring in the type of leadership that we need to step up our marketing, and our entire racing program here at Riverside. Things are already starting to happen in a positive manner, as we have several new sponsors in line for 2005, plus the programs that are being put together for the weekly racers should really open their eyes, and show them that we are making a serious effort to show just how much we appreciate them, and how committed we are to our Saturday night racers.

Robinson stated that all the new changes will be released in the upcoming weeks, and that rule meetings are scheduled for Sunday, November 21, 2004 at the Cabot Motor Inn, Lancaster, New Hampshire. For more information on Riverside Speedway, contact the track at 603-636-2005.
