Claremont,N.H. - It was Hodgdon Brothers Auto Salvage night at Twin State Speedway and the NASCAR facility was buzzing with it's largest car count of the season and probably the largest crowd of 2004 also.

The LaValley building Supply Racing Series saw 7 divisions racing plus a Demolition Derby. First on the night was the Rock 93.9 Figure 8 class and new Chief Starter Ray Menard returned to the flagstand after a lengthy absence and right off the bat John McSwain #88 got dumped and bounced off Robert Leitch #40. Then just a handful of laps later Cody Croteau #05, Matt Croteau #37 and Jason Currier got together in the X causing a scramble much to the delight of the crowd. A scramble at the restart brought out the black flag for Currier, When the dust finally settled Rob Olney #15 nailed down the victory with Mike Rouleau #84 2nd and Rob Letourneau #40 3rd.

14 cars took the green for the Twin Valley Power Equipment Super Street 25 lapper with Don Avery #3 and points leader Nate Young #0 sat on the front row and on lap 1 Avery got loose coming out of turn 4 collecting Rick Melcher #6, Ryan Bell #51 and Earl Moul #11. On the restart young took the lead but on lap 6 Mark McClay #15 ducked low coming out of turn 2 to grab the lead bringing 7-time winner Chris Bergeron #27 along. On lap 4 Ron Menard #10 got into the back of Ricky Bly #28 sending him around prompting officials to send Menard to the rear. On lap 9, Menard got a flat tire sending him around and Wayne Ingalls #12 slammed into him coming out of turn 4.

The rest of the race ran caution free and while Bergeron would challenge McClay several times for the win he would have to settle for second. It was McClays 6th win of the season and inches him closer to Bergeron and Young who finished 3rd.

The Ross Tire & Auto Pro Quad main event saw 7 time winner and current point leader Walt Harris #2 jump to the early lead with young gun John Ross Jr. #88 right on his tail. The first caution flew when Greg Picz #30 stalled in turn 1. On the restart Lee Gray #45 started mixing it up with Harris and Ross but on lap 10 the yellow flew again, This time as Picz bounced off the turn 4 wall. Harris again bolted to the lead at the drop of the green with Gray now in 2nd and Ross 3rd. Ross would use the low groove to get under Gray and the duo set up a battle that wouldn’t end until the checkered flag was thrown. Harris got the win with Ross edging out Gray for 2nd. On the restart George Fisher Jr. #8 bolted to the front with 4 time winner and point leader Jim Rhodes #38 breathing down his neck. Rhodes tried both high and low to get to the front but Fisher was up to the task, slamming the door on each attempt. Steve Lanou #48 and Josh King #29 climbed up to put pressure on the top 2 and on lap 13 King made the move to get by Lanou and take over 3rd. On lap 16 Sherrie Fluery-Lanou had something come undone on her engine as fluid came pouring out of her car spreading the liquid all over turn 2 sending her up against the back stretch wall. Joe Rogers #3, Whipple and Martin running tight all got caught up in the fluid all 3 were sent careening up against the same wall, wrecking all 3 cars. On lap 11 Brian Sears #1 and Dave Knight #27 got together in turn 2 bringing out the yellow. Lanou and 5-time winner Robert Hagar #91 would now set the pace on the restart. On lap 12 a right front flat on Randy Towns #11 caused he and Chris Curtis #7 to tangle in turn 3. On the restart Lanou ran Hagar out to the wall and Hagar pushed back going into turn 1. Lanou then drove into Hagar on the back chute spinning him around and prompting officials to black flag Lanou. This put Todd Rook #22 and 3 time defending track champion Aaron Fellows #29 on the front row. Coming down to the green, Rook ran Fellows right up to the wall sending the pack behind scrambling. Chief Starter Ray Menard called a false start to let the field gather it up.

Rook pulled the same trick again on the next restart but everyone was ready and the green stayed out. Fellows managed to keep his cool and drive by to grab the lead but Rook dumped him going in to turn 3. This put John Meany #15 on the point with Joe Tetrault #73 and Jamien Deschenes #2 the top 3. On lap 25 Knight and Curtis were spinning in turn 4 with Curtis being sent to the rear for the incident. One lap later Rook dumped Griffen in turn 3 and officials decided they had seen enough and sent Rook packing much to the delight of the large crowd.
