Jean-Paul Cyr Leads ACT Dodge Tour Into Riverside Riverside Speedway
Groveton, NH - - Defending ACT Dodge Tour champion Jean-Paul Cyr of Milton, VT is back atop the point standings heading into Saturday’s Central Asphalt Paving 100 at Riverside Speedway in Groveton, NH. Cyr could solidify his lead over his closest rivals, Brent Dragon of Milton, Patrick Laperle of St Denis, Quebec and Todd Stone of Middlebury, VT with a repeat of his 2003 performance on the New Hampshire semi-banked quarter-mile oval.
Cyr held off Stone by a single car-length to post one of tour-leading four victories at Riverside last year. "I know that Joey Laquerre, Dave Pembroke and Laperle always go well at Riverside," Cyr said. "Stone’s been right up there at every Riverside race and he was really strong at the Shootout last week at Airborne. I think the fans are in for a good show."
Local favorite Roger Brown of Lancaster will also likely make his presence felt in the Central Asphalt Paving 100. Brown, who learned his trade at Riverside, posted the first win of his ACT Late Model career thee weeks ago at Waterford (CT) Speedbowl.
