Michael Waltrip Enters New England 200 At NHIS : Raceway Media

(LOUDON, N.H. – June 17, 2004) -- Michael Waltrip is the latest NASCAR NEXTEL Cup Series star to enter the NASCAR Busch Series New England 200 on Saturday, July 24 at New Hampshire International Speedway.

Waltrip joins Kevin Harvick, Robby Gordon, Greg Biffle, Kasey Kahne, and Matt Kenseth, the reigning NASCAR NEXTEL Cup Series Champion, as they attempt to become the eighteenth different winner in the eighteen NASCAR Busch Series races at “The Magic Mile.”

NEXTEL Cup Series driver Joe Nemechek will attempt to become the first repeat winner in the NASCAR Busch Series at NHIS. In 1992, Nemechek battled Dale Earnhardt to the checkered flag in one of the most memorable Busch Series finishes.

Waltrip, Harvick, and Kenseth have already won NASCAR Busch Series events this season. Greg Biffle has three NASCAR Busch Series victories in 2004 to date.

The New England 200 is part of a full day of racing which includes the Busch North Series stars competing in the New England 125 and the final NASCAR NEXTEL Cup Series practice sessions for the New England 300.

Reserved seat tickets for the New England 200 and the New England 125 on Saturday, July 24 are available for $50 and $55 dollars. Tickets for children ages 11 and under are $5.
